Menial Series Update: Where have I been?

Good morning, afternoon, and evening fellow geeks! Man, it’s been quite a long time since I’ve seen all of you. How have the kids been? Getting some sun it looks like, dropping a few pounds, new haircut? Doesn’t matter. I just wanted to chirp in and mention that you have not been seeing anything from Menial Series because my schoolwork and job have just about overwhelmed me! This has been an unnaturally difficult semester, and I’m hoping that by the end of it I will be able to take a breather before jumping right back into the deep end. I have not been completely duty-free for the site, however! In fact, I have done over a few months worth of videos and then some in my spare time off the internet! Nights after homework are spent with friend Enrei while train rides where I cannot connect to linux servers are met with my raw recording data. And, as seen in my Shennanigans in Sleeping Dogs video, Menial Series is no longer edited with Windows Movie Maker. I am really moving up in the world! I currently have ten episodes of a Pokemon Emerald Nuzlocke playthrough edited and submitted with a few more in my to-do cue, two episodes of Klonoa up and running with three in the processing list, and two episodes of Cave Story for your viewing pleasure, with more to come soon. If you add up what I have right now uploaded or in my edit buffer, there is a total of 20 videos since my last update. Man I work hard on Menial Series, that Reetin guy should really give me some money or something (This is Reetin: That’s not going to happen)! Each of these can be easily found in it’s own separate playlist. All my videos, available now and coming up, can be easily accessed

Pierson's Indie Game Revolution

I recently attended a screening of Indie Game: The Movie and after this my interest was thoroughly peeked on indie games. Once I came home I looked at my Steam library and saw that in fact I had one game made by one of the teams featured in Indie Game: The Movie. So I started playing The Binding of Isaac which was made by the “Super Meat Boy Team”. Isaac is a combination of the original Legend of Zelda added with the hardness of Super Meat Boy and blended together with the crazy art design that the Meat Boy team is known for.
