Flix Worth Clix With Victoria MacFarlane

Hello Everyone!

I’m Victoria MacFarlane (No relation to Seth MacFarlane…..well as far as I know).

I am the new film guru  for the site. I’m a film student at the moment and spend a lot of my free time watching movies. Everything from crappy “B” movies to block-busters. I started a YouTube channel for what to watch on Instant Netflix called Flix Worth Clix and now I have teamed up with There Be Geeks to bring you all movie reviews.

Along with my reviews I will be bringing a dash of estrogen to the site since I am the only female uploader on the site so far. When I’m not watching movies like they are going out of style I am out making my own indie documentaries and shorts. I got into film making when I was 10 years old and my mother brought a video camera home. Me and my friends would make our own little TV shows and edit them with the VCR. Yes, a VCR. Does anyone remember the VCR? God I’m old! So hopefully my lack of a social life for the past 10 years will be a good thing for you all.

I was told I need to make this Intro 500 words long so the rest of this is just random information about myself. If someone did not hold a gun to my Skype call and force me to write 500 words this would be much shorter. (cough Reetin cough)

Some of my favorite movies are: The Crow, A Clockwork Orange, Earth Girls Are Easy, Worlds Greatest Dad, Kiss-Ass, Cashback, Sophie’s Revenge, Beware the Gonzo, Chunhyang, Harold, My Last Five Girlfriends, Submarine,Weird Science, She-Devil, Teeth, Fido, Siding Doors, Bubba Ho-Tep, Repo! The Genetic Opera, UHF, Oldboy, I’m a Cyborg but That’s Ok, Griff the Invisible, The Man From Nowhere, The Host, Confessions Of a Porn Addict, Mother, Hot Summer Days, Thirst, Night of the Living Dorks.

What are some other note worthy things about me? I love Pikachu! I have no idea why I was never into Pokemon when I was growing up but I just love Pikachu so that is a pretty geeky think I can admit about myself. My favorite color is blue. Im a Pisces. I know some basic Korean. When I’m not in school or messing around making or watching movies I teach English to exchange students at my college. If I have a little free time I enjoy traveling to Portland, Oregon and watching all the weird people that live there. My experiences in Portland have by far been the best inspiration for my movies. Where else in the world could you ever see a girl hula hooping in the middle or the street, a man dressed up as a robot dancing, and someone playing a pickle bucket as a drum all in the same block? Nowhere but Portland Oregon thats for sure. Oh thank God I just hit 500 words.

So join me my fellow movie geeks with my weekly videos posted here on There Be Geeks.
